The Role
Reporting to the Leading Hand/Supervisor your key responsibilities are:
- Utilise all hand tools and forming machines to perform required functions
- Perform welding techniques including, but not limited to, MMAW, FCAW, MIG.
- Mark out steel components in accordance with engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
- Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
- Follow quality control systems and techniques
- Maintain correct and accurate MARK numbers on steel components
- Cut, notch, drill, ream, shape and form steel components in accordance with engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
- Housekeeping
- Perform other general duties as required
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
- Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
- RIIWHS204D or RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights (within 2 years of issue)
- RIIWHS202D or RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Space (within 2 years of issue)
- Previous experience on construction projects
- Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
- High Risk Work Licence (EWP) – Preferred although not mandatory
