The Opportunity

 

Civmec are in search of an experienced Contract Administrator And Quantity Surveyor to assist in the successful delivery of new projects. The role will see you join our existing project team and participate in the delivery of projects across multiple divisions of the business.
The successful candidate will be reporting to the project commercial manager and playa critical part in supporting the project team in the effective management of commercial outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare contract templates based on the project contract documentation
  • Assist the Project Manager to review contractual obligations and contract templates
  • Advise client and relevant parties of notices of delay, extensions of time, subcontracts and or supplier agreements required for the project
  • Provide support to the Project Manager to prepare and forward relevant notices within designated timeframes
  • Update and maintain notices of delay and extensions of time registers
  • Notify clients of any issues, special circumstances or breaches of contract
  • Liaise with subcontractors to ensure all relevant insurances are current and legal (i.e. workers compensation)
  • Prepare contracts for suppliers and subcontractors highlighting relevant issues specific to the project
  • Revise and retain contract registers highlighting payment conditions
  • Perform other general duties to suit operational requirements as directed
  • Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes
  • Present neat documentation, correspondence and records as requested
  • Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports as required
  • Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed

About You

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience within the construction industry is essential
  • Strong, clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong understanding of commercial management and project controls
