The Opportunity

 

Civmec are currently seeking a Cost Schedule Analyst professional to join our OPV Defence Shipbuilding Project Team. Working closely with the Project Controls Manager you will coordinate the company Earned Value Management System (EVMS) to support efficient Project Cost and Schedule progress whilst also maintaining Civmec customer confidence. 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Key responsibilities include the following;

 

  • Assist the Project Manager (PM), Project Controls Manager (PCM), Project Management Team (PMT), Commercial Manager (CM) and Control Account Managers (CAMs) to establish and manage project cost and schedule baseline.
  • Apply cost & schedule tools.
  • Provide monthly project reporting and analysis data to the project team.
  • Assist the CAMs in performance management for data analysis, variance analysis reporting and forecasting.
  • Perform cost control and contract related functions under direct guidance of the PM, PCM, or relevant PMT staff.
  • Contribute to the management and continual improvement of the company EVMS.
  • Ensure policies and procedures for project are adhered to and ensure compliance to Civmec procedures.

About You

 

Essential

  • Tertiary Qualification in related discipline/s 
  • Former experience in a similar Defence Project role, OR
  • Minimum 3 years proven experience with demonstratable competence and a thorough working knowledge of applicable tools, procedures, project planning, scheduling, cost control, and earned value gained through similar project experience.
  • Well-developed self-management and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Excel, Intermediate MS Office Skills (Word, PowerPoint)
  • Skills exposure in the following; Cobra (Earned Value), P6 (Schedule), OPP (Schedule), Coins (Financial)
