The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking expressions of interest from Electrical Tradesperson to join our ever-growing team, on the Iron Bridge Project for the SMPE&I Process Plant Construction - Dry Plant, recently awarded in the Pilbara Region of WA. This role will be FIFO from Perth.

 

The Project

The Iron Bridge Project is a Fortescue Metals Group Ltd (FMG) and Formosa Steel IB Pty Ltd (Formosa) Joint Venture (JV) Project with the site located near Marble Bar, approximately 145 km South of Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of WA.
Civmec’s Scope for the Iron Bridge Project SMPE&I includes the installation of the Dry Plant including the structural, mechanical, module installation and hook-up, piping, electrical and instrumentation/controls activities required for the Project.

The project is expected to commence August 2021 with expression of interest interviews commencing immediately.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

•    Interpret drawings and specifications, and ensure installation adheres to these
•    Carry out cable ladder/conduit installation
•    Complete cable installation
•    Carry out cable terminations
•    Installation of devices and instruments
•    Installation of small light and power
•    Earthing, above and underground
•    Comply with industry safety standards and work practices
•    Follow quality control systems and techniques
•    Perform other general duties as required 

 

About You

•    You will be based in Perth, Western Australia or be prepared to make your own way to Perth as the point of hire.
•    Minimum 3 years’ industrial experience as an Electrician 
•    Previous construction experience within the mining and resources sector
•    Western Australian recognised Trade Certificate in Electrical
•    Current First Aid, CPR and Low Voltage Rescue Certificate (Desirable) 
•    Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card
