Lead the environmental and sustainability program for Perth Park—WA’s premier entertainment and sporting precinct—spanning early works through main works. You will own the environmental planning, approvals, monitoring, and reporting required to deliver complex construction packages (earthworks, ground improvement, piling, pavements, buildings) in a sensitive urban and riverine setting.

The Role

  • Develop, integrate, and maintain the full suite of project environmental plans and sub-plans. 
  • Secure permits and approvals
  • Lead groundwater modelling inputs, Swan River sampling programs, and targeted ASS assessments. 
  • Implement site-wide monitoring for air quality, dust, noise, vibration, surface water, erosion and sediment, and waste; provide timely, transparent reporting to client and regulators.
  • Embed environmental controls into earthworks, ground improvement, piling, pavement construction, and building works, aligning with program and productivity targets while maintaining compliance.
  • Act as principal point of contact with regulators, auditor, client, and community stakeholders; provide practical guidance, toolbox presentations, and training to site teams.

 

 

 

About you

  • 10+ years’ environmental management on large infrastructure projects, including direct integration with earthworks, ground improvement, piling, pavements, and buildings.
  • Proven end‑to‑end development and auditing of CEMP suites, sub‑plans, and evidence packs to secure auditor approval within tight timelines.
  • Experience with piling vibration risk assessments, monitoring near heritage assets, and implementing mitigation at source.
  • Strong capability in construction dewatering planning, groundwater quality protection, ASS investigation and mitigation.
  • Surface water management, Swan River sampling programs, and compliance reporting.
  • Deep knowledge of WA environmental legislation, guidelines, auditor processes, and agency interfaces (including heritage and planning considerations).
  • Skilled in regulator/client engagement, community interfaces, and building frontline environmental capability through training and coaching.
  • Track record of sequencing plans, closing scope gaps, and meeting critical submission dates under complex, multidisciplinary construction programs.
