Duties and Responsibilities

 

As the Lead Estimator with Civmec you can expect to work with a professional close-knit team with responsibilities including the following.

 

  • Provide dedicated leadership in applying first principal SMP Estimating
  • Undertake accurate material take-offs;
  • Interpret Client documentation, design drawings and other information to inform our estimate and approach;
  • Take responsibility for tender submissions, including development of methodologies and hours;
  • Manage all procurement and subcontracting for assigned tenders;
  • Work with other estimating team members and the operations team to develop and submit the tenders.

About You

 

You will be leading a dedicated Estimating Team and should be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

 

  • Leadership skills with several year’s experience from a recognised engineering contractors/ heavy construction, mining and resource industries on large scale projects
  • Industry related experience in Fabrication / SMP projects
  • Trade background or, applicable Engineering Degree
  • Estimating experience with first principal build-up of man hours for structural steel and Piping
  • Ability to plan and resource the manning
  • Strong Microsoft office suite particularly, Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage confidently
