The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking a Group Accountant to join our corporate Finance department, based at our head office in Henderson, WA. This role is will be on fixed term contract, covering parental leave.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be an integral part of the successful delivery of financial reporting for the Civmec group of companies. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and perform end of month process and associated reporting
  • Oversee financial transactions including multi-currencies transactions, accounts reconciliations, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality
  • Liaise with external auditors for biannual auditing requirements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and full year consolidated financial statements
  • Prepare statutory general and special purpose reports

About You

  • CA / CPA Qualification is essential (Australian recognised)
  • Above average computer literacy, with a strong emphasis on COINS or similar ERP software is preferred, along with proficient skills in Excel and Word
  • Strong communication, statistical reporting and analytical skills
  • Have the ability to operate with a high degree of independence in a busy environment
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience is required, and prior experience working within the resources industry will be highly regarded
