The Opportunity

Civmec are continuing to expand with exciting new Major Projects and have the opportunity for experienced HSE advisers to join our growing and passionate HSE Team.  We are currently seeking experienced HSE Advisors to join our exciting new Construction project at the Covalent Lithium’s Refinery at Kwinana on a Monday - Friday roster.  

Reporting to the HSE Manager you will be responsible for providing support to corporate and project teams in the delivery of work activities safely and to ensure compliance to Civmec’s health, safety & environmental management system and support the develop of industry best practice health, safety & environmental initiatives.


About You


  • Cert IV OH&S (minimum)
  • First Aid Qualification
  • White Card
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar position in the mining, construction or industrial industries
  • Proficient level across the Microsoft office suite of programs
  • Previous experience within HSE databases
  • Excellent report writing experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of key stakeholders
  • Incident investigation experience (eg ICAM, 5-whys or Taproot)
  • Enjoy a collaborative team environment working together to deliver a "positive safe culture" for the whole Civmec team


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Implement, audit and conduct inspections of site specific HSE management systems
  • Assist operational teams in complying with the HSE Management system
  • Develop and implement new HSE initiatives
  • Compile and issue HSE based reports (incident reports, trends analysis) 
  • Communicate HSE requirements to project/corporate teams 
  • Support risk identification and management processes to ensure risk of work activities is reduced to a ALARP
  • Conduct incident investigations and issue findings to project team and management teams as required
