About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Officer to join our team. Your primary focus will be on providing initial technical support and assistance to end users, troubleshooting and resolving common IT issues, and ensuring smooth operations of IT systems. You will deliver excellent customer service, efficiently handle user inquiries, and contribute to incident management and knowledge base development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level IT support via phone, email, or ticketing system. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and system issues. Support collaboration tools and associated hardware.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 applications. Monitor environments and escalate issues as needed.
- Manage user access in Active Directory and other systems. Follow IT service management best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation and provide regular reports. Contribute to IT policy and procedure development.
- Track and document IT hardware and software assets. Support inventory control.
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff or vendors. Liaise with manufacturers for specialized hardware support.
- Participate in shift rotations and complete Service Desk tickets promptly. Perform other duties as needed.
About you
- TAFE Diploma of Information Technology or Higher Education.
- Experience with Microsoft Server or Windows 10/11 MCSA, Network Cisco CCNA, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals.
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in an IT Support Desk role.
- Basic Networking, Windows 10/11 and Server Operating Systems, Microsoft Active Directory, Customer Service, Office 365, Technical Troubleshooting and Problem Solving.
Due to the Security Clearance required for this position, applicants must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and uphold a NV1 Security Clearance through the Australian Department of Defence.
