About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated System Administrator to join our team. Your primary focus will be on maintaining and supporting our core IT infrastructure, ensuring system availability, performance, and reliability across all environments. You will be responsible for the administration of servers, networks, and endpoint systems within a predominantly Microsoft-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain critical IT infrastructure: servers, storage, operating systems, and endpoint devices.
- Administer Active Directory, File and Print Services, VMware, networking components, VDI (Citrix), SQL, Exchange Servers, MS Entra, and Office365 environments.
- Perform system and application deployments using Intune.
- Install, configure, and maintain servers (Windows, Linux).
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls (e.g., Active Directory).
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Apply updates and patches to OS and applications.
- Administer and manage backup solutions and disaster recovery plans.
- Maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Support and administer network services: switches, routers, firewalls, wireless, and mobile devices.
- Ensure systems comply with cybersecurity standards in collaboration with the Cybersecurity Team.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Design and implement infrastructure solutions based on site requirements and project needs.
- Provide desktop and mobile support, including software installation and configuration.
- Engage with vendors and developers for issue resolution and system integration.
- Monitor ServiceDesk tickets and resolve or escalate as needed.
About you
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- IT Infrastructure, Storage, Network, Cyber Security, Virtualisation product knowledge.
- Industry Certifications from vendors including Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco
- Construction and site environment knowledge.
Due to the Security Clearance required for this position, applicants must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and uphold a NV1 Security Clearance through the Australian Department of Defence.
