The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking experienced QC Inspectors to join our team, based at our Henderson Workshop. We currently have various roles available including;

  • QC Inspector - 2 Year Fixed Term Contract - Must have experience with Fabrication work and Shiploaders
  • QC Inspector - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract - Must have extensive experience with Fabrication work in a workshop environment
  • QC Inspector - 8-10 Month Fixed Term Contract - Heavily Office based role, must have Piping and Oil & Gas industry experience, good computer skills is also essential
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform work in accordance with the Quality Assurance management systems procedures and work instructions
  • Undertake general welding inspection duties
  • Prepare and assist in welding traceability issues
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of corporate and project specific documentation and review Manufacturers Data Reports (MDR)
  • Report on product and process non-conformance and product preservation
  • Monitor the calibration of inspection and testing equipment
  • Coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Post Weld Heat Treatment PWHT) requirements
  • Organise and assist with welding qualification verification
  • Monitor repair rates
  • Report on handling and storage of consumables
  • Understand the intent and function of the safety and quality management systems
  • Perform other general duties to suit operational requirements as directed
  • Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes
  • Present neat documentation, correspondence and records as requested
  • Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports as required
  • Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed
About You
  • CSWIP 3.1 minimum
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar position
  • Have strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to overcome challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Good computer skills
