The Opportunity

 

New Project Position based in Henderson WA

 

Civmec are currently seeking an Inspector for  a new project in Civil Refractory Installation - this is an essential role charged with reporting on the Project Team’s compliance with the Project Quality Plan.  You will  coordinate and carry out inspections as required as well as provide technical (quality) support to the manufacturing and construction teams.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

 

•    Working directly with the Construction Manager and the client on approval of design, engineering and
•    materials selection variations
•    Manage and coordinate project materials manufacturer QA/QC 
•    Perform work in accordance with the QA management system procedures and work instructions
•    Liaise with client representative for all quality-related queries
•    Developed the materials management system from delivery to storage on both the Off-Site and
•    On-Site work fronts
•    Develop with the Construction Manager sequencing of refractory installation
•    Ensure inspection and test activities are carried out in accordance with the approved inspection
•    and test plan (ITP)
•    Undertake general welding inspection duties and prepare and assist in welding traceability
•    issues and ensure material traceability is maintained
•    Provide project-specific documentation and compilation of Manufacturers Data Reports (MDR)
•    Report on product and process non-conformance and product preservation
•    Coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) requirements
•    Review and approve all test reports
•    Implement and maintain a QA/QC audit system and equipment calibration system

About You

 

Essential

 

  • Formal qualification in engineering Civil or API 936 Inspector or equivalent trade qualification
  • Relevant experience within a similar role - minimum three (5) years 
  • Have strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to overcome challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Former experience in the construction industry
  • Competent user in MS office suit and data input.
