The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking Pipe Fitters to join our teams at the workshop and OPV facility, based in Henderson. We are offering new employees both Casual and Permanent Full Time roles. These roles are Monday to Friday with weekend work and plenty of overtime available. Civemc have been awarded the contract to work on the OPV programme with at least 10years work ahead. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pipe spool fabrication/welding and installation – TIG welding processes of Carbon steel, Copper Nickel and Stainless Steel pipe.
  • Site measure and manual bending and flaring of Stainless Steel tube
  • Must be able to interpret and understand piping isometrics and system schematics
  • Examine and test installed systems and pipelines using pneumatic and hydrostatic testing to Australian standards
  • Comply with industry safety standards and work practices

About You

  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Pipe Fitting
  • Marine experience is preferred but not essential
  • Able to work at heights and in confined spaces
