The Opportunity

New Opportunity ~ Planner/Scheduler to support Capital Works - Will include onsite work during project periods

Civmec are in search of an experienced Project Planner to schedule the successful delivery of multiple projects across our Capital Works division focusing on construction and maintenance projects.  

This role will allow the successful candidate to contribute to the success of the division by assisting Management schedule and monitor resources. 

Based in our Henderson Corporate facility this role will require frequent site project attendance as required (various FIFO rosters)

You will already have experience gained in delivering similar projects with an established record of successful outcomes that focus on provision of timely advice, contract deadline compliance and relationship management.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Monitor production with a focus on insuring correct resources are deployed to each project
  • Produce plans and schedules of work including visual aids such as bar charts, procedures and diagrams
  • Utilise specialist planning software such as Primavera to determine schedules
  • Prepare logistics plans and progress schedules for projects
  • Monitor project progress and compare with client programs and maintain contract deadlines
  • Liaise with clients and subcontractors where necessary
  • Provide advice on the development of specific scheduling systems and software
  • Maintain historical data for projects
  • Select appropriate techniques, sequences and equipment for all projects
  • Analyse methods and systems with a continuous focus on improvement and cost savings
  • Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes
  • Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports as directed

About You



  • Tertiary qualifications in structural, mechanical, civil engineering or construction management
  • Proficient knowledge in Primavera 6 or Microsoft Project is essential
  • Prior experience, minimum 3 years' in a similar role
  • Minimum 5 years previous project experience on Construction SMP Projects ideally in the mining sector, oil and gas sector
