The Role
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of commissioning, verification and validation, test and trials, and system integration activities across the SEA1180 platform delivery scope.
- Coordinate and control the formal contractual verification and acceptance process, ensuring deliverables meet Statement of Work and technical performance requirements.
- Lead and manage Mandated System Reviews (MSRs) related to commissioning and acceptance, including TRR, SRB, FCA, SAA, and support to PCA.
- Own and drive the achievement of System Acceptance (SA) and Final Acceptance (FA) in accordance with SEA1180 contract and ASDEFCON requirements.
- Act as the primary interface with external leaders, providing authoritative leadership on commissioning, test, trials, verification, and acceptance matters.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary functional teams to ensure integration, compliance, risk management, and governance alignment across platform delivery activities.
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in platform delivery, commissioning, test, trials, or acceptance within Defence or maritime acquisition projects.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary technical and project teams.
- Strong understanding of verification, validation, testing, and formal acceptance processes.
- Knowledge and application of Defence contracting frameworks.
- Experience coordinating or participating in Mandated System Reviews (MSRs) such as TRR, SRB, FCA, SAA, and PCA.
- Formal Project Management qualification (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent) desirable.
Due to the Security Clearance required for this position, applicants must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and uphold a minimum Baseline Security Clearance through the Australian Department of Defence.
