The Opportunity

Based at our Henderson Corporate Office

We currently have a role for a  project engineer to join our Estimating team and provide a central point of contact with technical and engineering support to the bids, tenders and proposals department.  With a focus on estimates for tender deliverables, you will lead or assist in leading tender and proposal submissions presenting Civmec clients with critical content and methodology.

 

Daily activities will include:
 

  •  Where required, the project engineer will be required to either lead or assist in leading tender and proposal submissions, generate, review and finalise deliverables in support of tenders and proposals
  • Generating and managing the bid schedule.
  • Generating and managing the writing plan and assignment of deliverables. Liaising with internal departments as needed to complete deliverables in accordance with the bid timelines.
  • Liaising with external partners and / or engineering organisations as required.
  • Reviewing the tender documents including the scope, specifications and other tender documents to ensure that we are addressing all Client requirements.
  • Coordinate post tender presentations and interactions with the Client as needed.
  • Tender / Proposal Deliverables
  • Generating and reviewing the project execution plan, methodologies and other supporting documents.
  • Ensuring the execution plan and methodologies are aligned with other tender deliverables such as the schedule and pricing.
  • Reviewing tender documents and generating clarification registers.
  • Review, create, issue and follow up all request for information (RFI’s) and technical queries (TQ’s).

 
About You
 

  • Tertiary qualifications in an engineering or project management discipline
  • Experience with mining, oil and gas or other similar heavy engineering disciplines in an engineering role.
  • Contractual and commercial acumen. Understanding of contractual and commercial terminology.
  • Exposure to project schedules and construction and assembly methodologies.
  • Proficient in use of all Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Demonstrated Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with Clients, stakeholders and key relationship members at all levels.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills,  able to work to tender deadlines.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as an Engineer with exposure to site works.
  • Prior construction or project based experience.
