Civmec is delivering key civil and structural works for the Perth Parks Project on the Burswood Peninsula — a major new entertainment, recreation and sporting precinct for Western Australia. The project includes a 12,000‑seat outdoor amphitheatre, a multi‑use events building, and a multi‑use racetrack for cycling and motorsport events. We are now seeking experienced Riggers to support lifting, structural assembly and load‑movement activities across major civil and building works. You’ll work as part of a high‑performing construction team to ensure safe, efficient and compliant rigging operations on a large‑scale, high‑profile project. high‑profile, city‑shaping project.
The Role
- Assist with lift planning and execution of lifting operations
- Align, level and anchor machinery and structural components
- Set up cranes, exclusion zones, barricading and signage
- Operate and attach rigging gear (chain blocks, pulleys, tirfors, lever hoists)
- Inspect, tag and maintain rigging equipment and update registers
- Conduct pre‑start checks and complete JHAs and Take‑5s
- Maintain housekeeping and adhere to all WHS requirements
- Support junior riggers during complex lifts
- Perform general construction duties as required
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Current High Risk Rigging licence (RI or RA) and VOC
- Current Working Safely at Heights Certificate
- Current High risk elevating work platform license (EWP) and VOC
- Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
- Previous experience on construction projects
- Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
