The Civmec Balanced Machines Division has secured a number of machine projects, with all equipment designed, fabricated, assembled, and tested at our state-of-the-art Henderson and Newcastle facilities.

We are seeking experienced Senior Designers to join the team and support the delivery of current and future projects. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary design and delivery team, contributing to the execution of complex mining equipment projects for our clients.

This role offers exposure across the full project lifecycle, from initial design through to execution and final commissioning at client sites across Australia.

 

The Role

  • Participate in studies, conceptual designs , estimate preparation and design reviews;
  • Review the project scope and Technical Brief and apply the design criteria and methodologies outlined in the engineering of theproject;
  • Prepare, Review and Mark-up 3d Models and Drawings with due consideration of safety, operability, simplicity and cost minimisation;
  • Identify project scope or design changes, or other issues which could adversely affect project cost or schedule;
  • Ensure project documents, data and information are correctly sourced, reviewed, managed and available;
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals as required;
  • Assist in the development of system and procedures to facilitate engineering design methods;

 

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Structural, Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • 5 + years’ design/engineering experience in a relevant industry.
  • Proficient knowledge of PTC Creo
  • Able to coach and train less experienced personnel in technical matters.
  • Good knowledge of the company’s engineering tools and be able to create deliverables with these tools.
  • Experience with Creo software (preferred)
  • Able to design integrated systems
