Civmec is proud to be delivering both the Civil and SMP packages for the Eneabba Rare Earths Refinery Project in collaboration with Iluka Resources. As Australia's first fully integrated rare earths refinery, this milestone project is driving innovation—and we're building a skilled team to make it happen.
The Eneabba facility will process monazite concentrate extracted from Iluka's mineral sands operations, with production scheduled to commence in 2026.
We're currently seeking Experienced Steel Fixers with a strong background in Civil Construction to help deliver a range of foundational activities, including:
- Bulk and detailed excavation to prepare structural zones and tank foundations
- Formwork construction and reinforcement installation for concrete structures
- Concrete placement and finishing to meet high durability and performance standards
- Final trim and backfill to complete the civil works and support subsequent mechanical and process installations
Location: Eneabba, WA (Mid West Region)
Roster: 2:1 Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO)
The Role
- Read and interpret working plans and steel lists
- Reo placement
- Resize steel bars or mesh to the required length using bolt cutters, guillotines and power saws
- Assemble the reinforcing bars or mesh by welding, wiring or clipping into predetermined locations within the concrete
- Fabricate steel reinforcement as beams, footing pads or special units
- Join the prefabricated units together and position the reinforcement ready for concrete pours
- Clean up wire-ties
- Assist with concrete placement
- Perform other general duties to suit operational requirements as directed
- Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes
- Present neat documentation, correspondence and records as requested
- Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports as required
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- 2+ years Industrial experience in steel fixing
- Previous construction experience within mining and resources (preferable)
- High Risk work licence with EWP (WP) over 11 meters
- Valid Working at Heights (desirable)
- Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness card (White Card)
