Civmec is proud to be delivering the Concrete and Field Erect Tanks Package for the Iluka Rare Earth Refinery—Australia’s first fully integrated rare earths facility and a cornerstone of the nation’s critical minerals strategy. With construction already underway, this civil scope includes excavation, formwork, reinforcement, final trim, and backfill. As the project gains momentum, we’re now seeking an experienced SMP Supervisor specialising in Piping.
This role is based at the Iluka Rare Earth Refinery site in Eneabba, approximately 274km north of Perth, Western Australia.
We offer a 2:1 DIDO roster, providing a balanced schedule that supports both productivity and personal wellbeing. All transportation to and from site is provided via Perth Airport.
The Role
The responsibilities include:
- Oversee the safe and efficient execution of Piping - SMP
- Coordinate and supervise assigned project tasks across multiple disciplines
- Review and process material take-offs to support project delivery
- Liaise with client representatives to address technical queries
- Prepare and review documentation to support work execution and compliance
- Support the development of as-built documentation, particularly for piping and structural installations
- Organise and manage project testing and inspection requirements
- Compile weekly progress reports and maintain accurate daily and monthly reporting
- Update project schedules and timelines as needed
- Ensure completion of field inspection checklists in collaboration with client representatives
- Apply quality control procedures and uphold company standards for assurance
- Maintain clear and professional documentation, correspondence, and records
- Perform general supervisory duties as required to meet operational needs
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering or related trade
- Working at heights and Confined Space
- S26 Certificate
- White Card
- Minimum five (5) years' experience in a similar role
- Proficient knowledge in MS Office suite
