Civmec is delivering major SMPE&I works for Iluka’s Eneabba Rare Earths Refinery — a nationally significant project shaping Australia’s rare earths future. We’re seeking experienced SMP Supervisors to lead site crews and drive safe, high‑quality delivery. These long‑term DIDO roles offer stability, strong project exposure and the chance to be part of a milestone WA development. 

The Role

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee and manage Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) works across the Eneabba Refinery project
  • Lead and supervise site crews to ensure safe, efficient and high‑quality execution 
  • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors and client representatives 
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, engineering specifications and project schedules 
  • Conduct site inspections and verify work meets engineering and client requirements 
  • Identify and resolve on‑site issues to maintain productivity and minimise delays 
  • Assist with planning and sequencing of SMP works to optimise resources 
  • Maintain accurate daily records, progress updates and incident reporting 
  • Promote continuous improvement and uphold Civmec’s values across all site activities 

About You

  • Proven experience supervising SMP works in major construction or heavy industry 
  • Trade qualification in Pipefitting or Boilermaking (highly regarded) 
  • Experience overseeing piping installation, commissioning and structural/mechanical assembly 
  • Background supervising fabrication and installation of pressure vessels, tanks and structural steel 
  • S26 Certification 
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills 
  • A commitment to safety, quality and performance
