CBD Based Supervisor Welding - Home every night

Prestigious CBD based project consisting a design and construction of two cable-stayed bridges, including a 6-meter-wide shared path linking the Victoria Park foreshore, Heirisson Island and Perth's CBD at Point Fraser. Project completion is expected in late 2024.

 

Opportunity for Supervisor Welding with a strong technical background in welding of platework / tanks, implementation of temporary works with good scheduling and work sequencing knowledge to join this Iconic Perth, Victoria Park based Causeway Bridge Project. Responsible for the planning and control of construction work crew activities that ensure that site works are completed in accordance with safety, quality, time and profit objectives for the Alliance Project.

The Role

Ideally your experience will include:

  • Liaise with SMP Supervision for planned work activities to be completed.
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in welding and cutting of products and structures.
  • Monitor welding productivities by using accurate fit-ups, proper use of welders, proper weld sizing, effective.
  • Identifying and qualifying, or obtaining the correct weld procedures.
  •  Qualifying and organising welder qualifications.
  • Signing inspection and test plans (ITP) and manufacture data records (MDR).
  • Compose weekly progress reports.

About You

  • Trade certified in fabrication and welding,
  • Current valid driver's license,
  • Other tickets deemed essential for working on a construction site including White Card, EWP High Risk Work License, Working at Heights, Confined Space.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in the relevant discipline and similar industry. Ideally experience in the mining and construction sector.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in project planning and resource management is essential.
  • Preferable to hold a cert IV in Frontline Management.
