Civmec is growing, and we’re seeking experienced HSE Advisors to support two high‑profile Western Australian projects driving Australia’s critical minerals capability and the shift toward low‑carbon mining. Iluka Rare Earths Refinery – Eneabba
Supporting the delivery of Australia’s first integrated rare earths refinery, covering structural, mechanical, and piping works.

  • Location: Eneabba (274 km north of Perth)
  • Roster: 2:1 DIDO
  • Transport: Via Perth Airport

 

FMG Decarbonisation Program – Eliwana & Flying Fish
Delivering new electrical infrastructure to enable Fortescue’s decarbonisation initiatives across both mine sites.
Scope includes:

  • Installation of LME & SME electric charging facilities
  • Civil works: earthworks, trenching, drainage, site layouts
  • Installation of transportable pit substations (33kV)
  • Deployment of in‑pit electrical infrastructure for electric excavators, drills, and mobile plant
  • Roster: 2:1 FIFO

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage HSE aspects across Civil, SMP, and electrical infrastructure works
  • Support risk identification and ensure activities are reduced to ALARP
  • Lead incident investigations and communicate findings to project teams
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate HSE standards, programs, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and Civmec’s Corporate Compliance Matrix
  • Monitor and apply regulatory updates to project systems
  • Assist in hazard investigations and ensure corrective actions address root causes

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Previous experience in a similar HSE role within construction, mining, or heavy industry
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and industry best practice
  • Cert IV or Diploma in OHS
  • ICAM or Taproot certification
  • Experience using HSE databases and reporting systems
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in remote environments
