This is a great opportunity for Boilermakers to join our SMP team working on the newly appointed Pilgangoora project in the Pilbara Region of WA on a FIFO 3 & 1 roster.

The Project

Civmec has secured the award of a major construction contract for Pilbara Minerals at their Pilgangoora site in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

This is a Greenfields lithium project and the scope includes the SMPEI construction of new and parallel processing structures and equipment to expand the mines nameplate capacity to 1000ktpa. Civmec will construct an additional grinding and classification circuit, Pre-flotation magnetic separation circuit, a duplicated flotation circuit, wet processing circuit, reagents facility, a product and storage facility, along with the provision of supporting water, air, and power infrastructure services. Civmec will also be installing several large vendor equipment packages, such as thickeners, a ball mill, and filter press.

What’s on Offer

Base Salary + Allowances + Project Bonus AND Penalties, paid weekly!
FIFO roster 3 weeks on and 1 week off

Your Role

Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
Able to mark out steel components.
Cut, notch, drill, ream, shape and form steel components using correct tooling ie Rota Broach, oxy and acetylene etc
Fit up and adequately tack weld steel components
Apply temporary bracing, where required, to ensure post welded component is with in tolerance and dimensions
Straighten steel components where applicable post welding to comply with dimensions

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

2+ years Industrial experience as a Boilermaker
Previous construction experience within the mining and resources (preferable)
Trade Certificate in Boilermaking, Metal Fabrication or Plateworker.
- Demonstrate First Attack Firefighting Equipment Certificate
- Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card
- EWP (WP)
Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness card
Valid Working at Heights (desirable)
