The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking expressions of interest Crane Operators to join our ever-growing team, on a new and exciting Construction Project recently awarded in the Pilbara Region of WA. This role will be FIFO from Perth

The Project

The Robe Valley Sustaining – MESA A Project is located near Warramboo, approximately 140 km Southwest of Karratha in the Pilbara region of WA.

 

The town of Pannawonica is the nearest township and is located approximately 14 km northeast of the existing Mesa J hub and approximately 40 km east of the existing Mesa A hub.

 

Civmec’s Scope for the Mesa A Project includes the supply, fabrication, modularisation, transportation to site, erection, modification, installation, and commissioning of structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation.

 

The project is expected to commence July 2020 with expression of interest interviews commencing immediately.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for operation of crane used in heavy lifting and transport
  • Responsible for personal safety and safety of co-workers
  • Shows commitment to safety culture through personal behaviour and willingness to influence others
  • Responsible for slings, cables, straps, and the crane prior to lifting operations
  • Perform preventative maintenance as required to ensure safe and continual service of crane
  • Supervise oiling of the crane
About You
  • You will be based in Perth, Western Australia or be prepared to make your own way to Perth as the point of hire.
  • Minimum 3 years’ industrial experience as a Crane Driver Operator
  • Current High-risk Dogging license and VOC
  • Current High-risk Rigging license and VOC
  • Current High-risk Crane (Slewing or Non – slewing) license and VOC
  • Previous construction experience within the mining and resources sector
  • Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card
