This is a great opportunity to join our growing Maintenance and Capital Works division be apart of the core crew starting on the Roy Hill Shutdown. The Roy Hill Port Major Shutdown is located in Port Hedland and it will be assisting the Materials Lead Officer for the major shut execution including some preparation and demobilisation of all parts, Fuel, plant and equipment and general upkeep of plant during the shutdown etc.  the first shutdown will be commencing 2nd May and concluding 21st May

The Role

 

• Learn and actively develop understanding of the site safety systems, compliance, policies and procedures
• Learn and actively develop understanding of warehousing principles and processes
• Actively engage with Team Leaders and the Inventory team to identify, locate and/or process orders as and when required
• Communicate and follow the direction of the G4 Material Officer/Team leader
• Effectively integrate into a team environment without conflict
• Process incoming with the same diligence as outbound materials
• Complete tasks as directed by the Leadership team to the highest standard
• Operate relevant machinery aligned to skillset in the safest possible manner, along with any other materials handling equipment
• Routinely cycle count inventory and complete associated paperwork as directed
• Actively work to keep the workplace clean and safe
• Apply principles learned from the VOC/Training programs to the required standard
• Safely load and unload trucks of various configurations and sizes in a timely manner. Unload vehicles accurately and within specified time limits with a focus ensuring materials are physically receipted correctly, employing appropriate manual handling behaviours
• Any other reasonable request or task that is within their physical capability and skill set and in which they have been trained to the required standard
• Follow the principles of Chain of Responsibility

 

About You

 

To be successful in the role you will possess the following Qualifications and Experience:

• Understanding of MS Office Suite as required
• Current Australian Driver Licence (Car)
• Current Forklift and Telehandler ticket 
• Experience in warehousing (Desirable)
• HR Driver Licence (Desirable)
• Dangerous goods awareness (Desirable)
• Pro-active, goal oriented with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent customer focus
• Able to identify issues, problems and opportunities; make timely decisions; develop appropriate and innovative solutions; and ask for assistance if required.
• Able to work effectively in small to large multi-disciplinary teams, and share and transfer knowledge within teams
