The Opportunity

 

Civmec are currently seeking a Planner to join one of our project teams based in the Pilbara region WA. This will be a site based position with a 3:1 FIFO roster.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Create an accurate baseline schedule
  • Produce an accurate basis of schedule to clearly outline the assumptions made within the programme and update as required
  • Maintain and monitor the progress in line with the agreed baseline programme and notify the project manager of any risk or opportunities 
  • Produce, monitor and maintain a detailed L5 construction 6 weeks look ahead programme in consultation with the project team and monitor against the baseline programme. 
  • Complete the schedule health check on weekly basis and monitor the slippage. 
  • Complete the ‘what if’ analysis as required and complete the root cause analysis
  • Resource loading the P6 and maintain the resource levelling as directed. 
  • Produce the manning histogram and S curve
  • Programme risk identification and mitigation strategies preparation as well as producing recovery programme as directed
  • Implement a strategy to monitor the delays and tie back to the baseline programme as well as preparing and maintaining the delay log. 
  • Record keeping and clearly log and changes to the programme. 
About You

 

  • Experience in working on multidisciplined projects / schedules
  • Extensive experience gained within recognised engineering contractors working in the construction, mining and resource industries on large scale projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge in Primavera 6.T
  • Tertiary qualifications in structural, mechanical, civil engineering or construction management
