As a natural progression Civmec are in the process of obtaining our IRATA accreditation to perform Rope Access work across our various sites as a fully integrated service offering to support our existing operations.

 

The Opportunity

Civmec is hiring and we want you! We are currently looking for Rope Access Technicians to join our Maintenance Core Crew for rolling shutdown work throughout the Pilbara and South West. We have several ongoing positions available for commencement in June 2022.

 

We are seeking IRATA Rope Access Technicians in the Following Disciplines

  • Rope Access Supervisors
  • Rope Access Riggers All levels
  • Rope Access Boilermaker Welders All Levels
  • Rope Access NDT technicians All Levels
  • Rope Access Mechanical Fitters All levels
  • Rope Access Electricians

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Piping, valve and spool installation
  • Welding and site fabrication
  • Flange Management,
  • Heavy and Complex Rigging
  • Bin, chute, and tank maintenance
  • Liner replacement
  • Pipeline inspection and Corrosion Repair
  • General Fitting
  • Structural Welding
  • Pipe Welding

 

About You

  • Australian recognised trade (if applicable)
  • Ability to pass structural fillet weld test in all positions
  • Ability to pass 6G stick weld test (desirable) 
  • High Risk Work License for Riggers
  • NDT technicians to hold current AINDT or PCN UT thickness qualification (certification desirable but not essential)
  • Working at Heights Ticket (within 2 years)
  • Confined Space Entry Ticket (within 2 years)
  • Current IRATA ticket with log book current within 6 months
  • Current First Aid and apply CPR (within 1 year) - for IRATA level 3’s
  • Driver License
  • Must be able to provide evidence of recent vaccinations
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and a drug and alcohol screen
