The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking expressions of interest Trade Assistants to join our ever-growing team, on a new and exciting Construction Project recently awarded in the Pilbara Region of WA. This role will be FIFO from Perth.

The Project

The Robe Valley Sustaining – MESA A Project is located near Warramboo, approximately 140 km Southwest of Karratha in the Pilbara region of WA.

 

The town of Pannawonica is the nearest township and is located approximately 14 km northeast of the existing Mesa J hub and approximately 40 km east of the existing Mesa A hub.

 

Civmec’s Scope for the Mesa A Project includes the supply, fabrication, modularisation, transportation to site, erection, modification, installation, and commissioning of structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation.

 

The project is expected to commence July 2020 with expression of interest interviews commencing immediately.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform spotting duties as required
  • Operate a variety of tools and machines including; forklifts, EWP’s, power hammers, grinders, power drills or other cutting and shaping tools and machines
  • Perform assembly and dismantling operations, such as screwing or bolting
  • Transport tools, materials and work pieces to and from sites or workbenches
  • Provide assistance to various trades in all positions on construction projects in a range of tasks
  • Loading and delivering project materials
About You

 

  • You will be based in Perth, Western Australia or be prepared to make your own way to Perth as the point of hire.
  • Minimum 3 years’ industrial experience as a Trade Assistant
  • Previous construction experience within the mining and resources sector
  • Current Working at Heights certificate
  • Current high-risk Elevating Work Platform license and VOC
  • Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card
