This is a great opportunity to join our maintenance team working on major SMP construction and sustaining capital projects across the mining and heavy industry sectors. Located in Port Hedland, you will be working closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, Clients and key project stakeholders to support the successful delivery of mechanical construction works from planning through to completion.
The Role
- Coordinate project planning, work pack development, estimating, scheduling and project execution activities across SMP construction projects.
- Scope work packages from drawings, specifications and client requirements to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Provide technical field support and manage engineering documentation, RFIs, NCRs, TQs and engineering change processes.
- Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, construction crews and client representatives to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.
- Support project reporting, QA/QC activities, completions, pre-commissioning and handover requirements.
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years' experience in SMP construction within mining, resources, energy or heavy industry projects.
- Strong site-based project engineering experience including construction planning, work pack development, estimating and quantity take-offs.
- Sound knowledge of ITPs, QA/QC requirements, document control systems and project engineering processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management platforms such as Aconex, InEight or TeamBinder.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence with the ability to work on remote site projects. CPEng, RPEQ or NER accreditation will be highly regarded.
