We have an exciting new position for a Port Hedland local in our new state of the art Facility. We are seeking an expereince Project Controls Officer to work Monday to Friday to support our facility and north west maintenance division.

The Role

  • Provide project controls support to the team, project personnel and operations team.
  • Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports as directed
  • Review and audit project controls activities as required
  • Ability to analyse and interpret project financial information
  • Monitor committed/open Purchase Orders and ensure that Purchase Orders are closed out within an appropriate timeframe.
  • Conduct financial audits on the projects, with a focus on cost and revenue forecasts
  • Management of budgets vs actuals on the projects and reporting ‘poor health’
  • Audit the procurement process and ensure that all requisitions and related invoices are authorized by the nominated person
  • Monitor outstanding debtors

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Local to Port Hedland
  • Previous experience in the field of project controls ideally in a Mining, Construction and Engineering sectors is preferred or experience in Accounting.
  • Knowledge of the application and establishment of project planning, scheduling and cost control tools
  • Microsoft Office Suite intermediate/advanced
  • High attention to detail and proven organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced working environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
