The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking expressions of interest from Electricians to join our ever-growing team, on an exciting new Roy Hill Project based in the Pilbara. The Project will be completing the expansion of a new Crushing Station which is planned to deliver first ore by December 2022. This role will be mobilising to site from early May 2022 and will be FIFO on a 3:1 roster.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and install control systems and associated equipment such as flow meters, variable speed drivers and pressure and level transmitters. Tasks involve troubleshooting, routine maintenance, calibration and fault-finding.
  • Review the customer specification to ensure all technical aspects of contract are clear and understood.
  • Liaise with the customer on all technical aspects.
  • Provide a focal point for all technical based queries from all CIVMEC Personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Trace out and test electronic solid state and vacuum tube circuitry and components to locate defective parts in analogue and digital, protection, or radiation monitoring systems, using test equipment, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
  • Remove defective instruments from system, decontaminate, disassemble, and clean instruments, and replace defective parts, using hand tools.
  • Prepare schematic drawings, sketches, and reports to reflect changes or alterations made in instruments, circuits, and systems.

About You

  • Valid WA Electrical License (Mandatory)
  • Cert III in Electro-Technology (Desired)
  • Valid First Aid, CPR and LVR License (Desired)
  • Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card
  • Complete a Pre-employment medical, including Drug & Alcohol screening
