The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking expressions of interest from Mechanical Fitters to join our ever-growing team, on an exciting new Roy Hill Project based in the Pilbara. The Project will be completing the expansion of a new Crushing Station which is planned to deliver first ore by December 2022. This role will be mobilising to site from early May 2022 and will be FIFO on a 3:1 roster.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Experience in the Alignment of mechanical Equipment
  • Assembly and alignment of Cone Crushers complete with drives and gear boxes
  • Perform mechanical repairs and servicing of various civil and workshop plant and machinery
  • Conduct fault finding for breakdowns
  • Maintain stock of hydraulic, mechanic, electronic and pneumatic materials
  • Assemble metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate production machines and other equipment
  • Complete mechanical checklists and weekly inspections of plant and machinery
  • Conduct marking and lining out
  • Experience in spool installation
  • General fitting skills including working on pumps and installing valves
  • Normal mine site skills eg. Permits, risk assessments etc.

About You

  • Relevant Certificates / Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting
  • Complete a Pre-employment medical, including Drug and Alcohol Screening
  • 3 years+ experience in either Construction or Maintenance
  • Confined Space Ticket (desirable)
  • Working at Heights Ticket (desirable)
  • White Card
