The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking expressions of interest from Advanced Riggers to join our ever-growing team, on an exciting new Roy Hill Project based in the Pilbara. The Project will be completing the expansion of a new Crushing Station which is planned to deliver first ore by December 2022. This role will be mobilising to site from early May 2022 and will be FIFO on a 3:1 roster.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Able to read and interpret Structural and Engineering drawings would be an advantage.
  • Able to work at heights erecting steel
  • General rigging activities using chain blocks.
  • Assist in aligning, levelling and fixing down of machinery
  • Using an EWP at heights
  • General steel erection, including pre-assembly
  • Basic dogging off loads
  • Assist in the positioning of rigged loads into position ie Modules etc

About You

  • Minimum 3 years’ industrial experience as a Rigger
  • Previous construction experience
  • Current HRWL (RA and VOC)
  • Current Working at Heights certificate
  • Current EWP ticket and VOC 
  • Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card
