The Role
Civmec is currently seeking experienced HSE Advisors to join our growing and experienced HSE Team on a FIFO 2:1 roster for the Rio Tinto Western Range Project at their Paraburdoo site in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on a major project and advance your career in health, safety, and environmental management.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Provide essential support to corporate and project teams, ensuring the safe delivery of work activities and compliance with Civmec’s health, safety, and environmental management system.
- Help develop and implement industry best practice health, safety, and environmental initiatives.
- Implement, audit, and conduct inspections of site-specific HSE management systems.
- Assist operational teams in complying with the HSE Management system.
- Compile and issue HSE-based reports, including incident reports and trend analysis.
- Effectively communicate HSE requirements to project and corporate teams.
- Support risk identification and management processes to ensure the risk of work activities is reduced to ALARP.
- Conduct incident investigations and issue findings to project and management teams as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
- Cert IV OH&S (minimum) and a First Aid Qualification.
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position (minimum).
- Minimum intermediate level proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite of programs and previous experience with HSE databases.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of key stakeholders.
- Experience with incident investigation methodologies (e.g., ICAM, Taproot).
- White Card and willingness to complete RIO Inductions
