This is a great opportunity to join our Civil team working on the newly awarded Western Range project located in the Pilbara, Western Australia.   

The Project

Civmec has secured the award of a major construction contract for the Rio Tinto Western Range Project at their Paraburdoo site in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

The iron ore project includes Greenfields and Brownfields scope with the construction of a new Run of Mine (ROM) pad, primary crushing facility, overland conveying circuit and modifications to the Coarse Ore Stockpile (COS) and downstream conveying system.

Your Background

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

• Placement of concrete in for blinding, footings, slabs, columns, bases and walls
• Installing levels and falls and screeding accurately to the levels provided
• Spreading and levelling of concrete using rakes, shovels, hand and machine trowels
• Works may include chipping, scraping and grinding of high spots, ridges and rough projections using pneumatic chisels, power grinders and hand tools
• Curing of concrete and monitoring the effects of weather during the curing process
• 2+ years Industrial experience
• Experience with pressure washer for green cutting.
• Finishing experience and attention to detail in finishing concrete elements.
• Assist with the install of precast elements.
• Nationally Recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card
