This is a great opportunity to join our SMP team working on the Western Range project located in the Pilbara, Western Australia.   

The Project

Civmec has secured the award of a major construction contract for the Rio Tinto Western Range Project at their Paraburdoo site in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

The iron ore project includes Greenfields and Brownfields scope with the construction of a new Run of Mine (ROM) pad, primary crushing facility, overland conveying circuit and modifications to the Coarse Ore Stockpile (COS) and downstream conveying system.

Looking for Operators for:

  • 20-22T Franna
  • 80-110T Tadano Rough
  • 90T Sany Rough Terrain
  • 160T Terrain 
  •  250T Kobelco Crawler or similar

Your Background

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within the Construction Industry
  • Hold a current High Risk Work Licence
  • Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card
  • Responsible for operation of crane used in heavy lifting and transport
  • Assures that all lifts are within load limits of equipment and correctly rigged
  • Perform tasks outside of main Operator duties during periods where the Crane is not in use due to weather, mechanical maintenance/failure of the Crane or work scope requirements.
  • Remain in continual voice (radio), hand, and or communication with rigger while operating the crane
