The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking experienced Mechanical & Electrical Supervisors to join our Maintenance team on an upcoming shutdown. The shutdown is based in the Pilbara region and will be from 29th January - 13th February 2021.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance of conveyor and shutdown components on site
  • Supervise and control designated shutdown duties
  • Liaise with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, shutdown scheduling and coordinating deliveries
  • Develop and review documentation necessary to facilitate work carried out
  • Compose shutdown completion reports
  • Update schedules as required
  • Ensure relevant field inspection checklists are completed and signed in conjunction with client representatives
  • Understand and implement quality control techniques
  • Maintain company standards for quality assurance purposes
  • Present neat documentation, correspondence and records as requested
  • Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports as directed
  • Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed

About You


  • Proven knowledge and experience in shutdown planning and resource management
  • Previous demonstrated experience as a Supervisor in a shutdown environment
  • Proficient knowledge in MS Office suite
  • Relevant Trade Certificate
  • Working at Heights & Confined Spaces
  • First Aid Certificate



  • Previous Shutdown experience in conveyor maintenance ideally in the mining sector
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in a similar role
