Civmec are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer with Piping experience to support project management and assist with the piping project packages in our South West Maintenance division. Primarily, the role is responsible for the management of 1-2 Project scopes at a time, tis includes management of the interface with procurement and our fabrication facility to support project completion in accordance with time and cost constraints.

 

The role is a standard 40hr week however can be up to 72hrs per week when on a project site. The role is based in the Bibra Lake Facility and will require you to travel to sites in the South West when required during project execution.

The Role

  • Provide the technical engineering support to the project including technical queries, inspections and interpretation of design deliverables.
  • Review Scope of Work documents and ensure project specifications and code requirements are covered within the Scope of Work.
  • Assist with the compilation of Work Packs and test packs in accordance with Project requirement.
  • Review, create, issue and follow up all request for information (RFI’s) and technical queries (TQ’s).
  • Interface and be involved with other project functions such as quality, commercial, construction and project controls.
  • Subcontract management.
  • Assist the Project Manager with tasks as required.
  • Perform other general duties that may be necessary to support the project.

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • SMP PE Field experience essential (3-5yrs post graduate)
  • Chemical Process plant experience is desirable
  • Experience in maintenance and brownfield works
  • Experience in Estimating, Material Take Offs, Planning, QMS’s, Fabrication, ITP and ITR development and MDR.
  • Must have worked on SMP Projects with proven experience in Structural, Mechanical and Piping (experience in Insulation and Cladding and Civils also desired)
  • Proficient with Microsoft software & Navisworks or similar.
