The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking expressions of interest Trade Assistants to join our ever growing  team, on a new and exciting Construction Project recently awarded in the South West of WA.

The Project

Civmec has been awarded a significant contract from Albemarle Lithium Pty Ltd for the delivery of a new lithium hydroxide plant to be built in Western Australia’s south-west.


This Project will be located in the Kemerton Strategic Industrial Area, near the port town of Bunbury.


Civmec’s scope of works will include Structural, Mechanical and Piping.


Expressions of Interest interviews will commence immediately with expected mobilisations starting from late 2019.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate a variety of tools and machines including; forklifts, power hammers, grinders, power drills or other cutting and shaping tools and machines
  • Perform assembly and dismantling operations, such as screwing or bolting
  • Solder or spot weld components using electrical spot or welding machines
  • Transport tools, materials and work pieces to and from sites or workbenches
  • Provide assistance to all positions on fabrication projects in a range of tasks
  • Loading and delivering project materials
  • Manage OHS and environmental hazards in the workplace and off site
  • Conduct general workshop/yard cleanliness, tidiness and preparing project site for works
  • Perform other general duties to suit requirements as directed operational management
About You
  • Fabrication experience within mining and resources industries is preferred
  • Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card is essential
  • Forklift Operation and Elevated Work Platform tickets are preferred
  • Basic Dogging and Basic Rigging tickets are desirable but not essential
