Due to a pipeline of current and forecasted works we are looking for an exceptional Fabrication Engineer who embodies Civmec's values.

This position will be based at Civmec's Tomago Facility in New South Whales.  

The Role

  • Liaise with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliveries.
  • Produce as-built drawings for fabrication works.
  • Processing material take-offs.
  • Managing and resolving all fabrication issues associated with the projects.
  • Preparing Sketches for the workshop using CAD.
  • Updating schedules as required.
  • Preparing ECC when there are design changes / revise drawings.
  • Arrange method statements and prepare work packs as required.
  • Compose weekly progress report.
  • Perform other general duties that may be necessary to support the facility

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • A tertiary qualification in structural, mechanical engineering or construction management
  • Sound knowledge of the application and establishment of project planning, scheduling and cost control tools
  • Proficient knowledge in MS Office suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ideally 3 years previous experience in a similar role
