With a strong pipeline of current and upcoming projects, we are seeking a high-performing Fabrication Engineer who aligns with Civmec’s values and is eager to contribute to the delivery of major, high-quality work.
This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing team and will be based at Civmec’s state-of-the-art Tomago Facility in New South Wales.
The Role
- Liaise with client representatives on technical queries, inspections, scheduling, and deliveries
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to develop shop drawings and fabrication methodologies
- Produce as-built drawings and process material take-offs
- Prepare work packs, method statements, and issue ECCs for design changes/revisions
- Manage and resolve fabrication issues across projects
- Maintain and update project schedules as required
- Compile weekly progress reports
- Ensure all technical documentation aligns with quality and compliance requirements
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Support the facility with general duties as required while managing multiple tasks effectively
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Structural or Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management
- Previous exposure to fabrication or manufacturing environments
- Self-driven, proactive and target-oriented mindset
- Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and cost control tools
- Proficient in the MS Office suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ideally 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
