Civmec has secured an exciting project in the Pilbara and is seeking experienced Senior Contract Administrators to join our project team. This is a Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) role on a 2/1 roster based in the Pilbara during the upcoming shutdown period commencing late January 2026 and continuing through to the end of the year. 

The role will assist the team in managing its contractual obligations under the head contract, with a strong focus on the administration of change and delay. It’s an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to the success of the project by applying their change management and commercial expertise to the delivery of works.

The scope of work covers most disciplines performed by Civmec within the maintenance space. The project will comprise multiple shutdowns over the 12-month period, primarily performing upgrades on the client’s balance machines. 

 

The Role

The successful candidate will drive outcomes and support in all aspects of the project commercial and contract functions, including but not limited to: 

  • Administration of variations, extensions of time (EOT), and delay notices in line with contractual requirements;
  • Drafting and submission of correspondence, claims, notices, and supporting documentation within designated timeframes;
  • Managing client correspondence on contractual matters, including addressing issues, breaches, and special circumstances;
  • Maintaining contract registers, tracking payment conditions and claims to ensure compliance;
  • Coordinating and processing payment claims to ensure accuracy and compliance; 

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following: 

  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a role as a Contract Administrator or Quantity Surveyor for a construction contractor with extensive experience in managing variation and delay claims;
  • Strong, clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Strong understanding of contracts and commercial management.
