After securing a very exciting project with Rio Tinto, Civmec are currently seeking experienced Scaffolders on a casual basis. These positions will commence in mid-January 2026 and run through until the end of the year. The scope of work being undertaken covers most disciplines performed by Civmec within the maintenance space. The project will comprise of 7 shutdowns over a period of 12 months performing upgrades on the clients’ balance machines (2x Reclaimers, 2x Stackers and 2x Shiploaders).
Shutdown dates for 2026:
- 31/01 – 25/02
- 16/03 – 07/04
- 25/04 – 17/05
- 01/06 – 22/06
- 21/07 – 11/08
- 24/08 – 21/09
- 19/10 – 16/11
The Role
- Erect, install and position various sections of scaffolding
- Ability to effectively conduct risk assessments prior to commencing tasks
- Knowledge of and compliance with legislative requirements
- Versatile in different types of scaffolding techniques
- Perform other general duties where required
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- HRWL: SI or SA
- Construction White Card
- Work Safely at Heights (within 2 years of issue)
- Enter and Work in Confined Space (desirable)
- Gas Test Atmospheres (desirable)
- MSIC, or the ability to obtain
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical and regular / random Drug and Alcohol screens
- Additional Tickets will be highly regarded
