After securing a very exciting project with Rio Tinto, Civmec are currently seeking an experienced Storeperson on a casual basis. These positions will commence in mid-January 2026 and run through until the end of the year.
The scope of work being undertaken covers most disciplines performed by Civmec within the maintenance space. The project will comprise of 7 shutdowns over a period of 12 months performing upgrades on the clients’ balance machines (2x Reclaimers, 2x Stackers and 2x Shiploaders).

Shutdown dates for 2026:

  • 31/01 – 25/02
  • 16/03 – 07/04
  • 25/04 – 17/05
  • 01/06 – 22/06
  • 21/07 – 11/08
  • 24/08 – 21/09
  • 19/10 – 16/11

The Role

  • Ordering and maintaining stock levels for all of site requirements
  • Coordinate and assist with loading and unloading of trucks, picking orders and telehandler/forklift operations.
  • High quantity stock takes.
  • Stock control using company stock control system or otherwise instructed by the management.  
  • Ensure high quality control of incoming and outgoing materials and goods
  • Ensure outgoing materials and goods are properly, securely and safely packed for road transport. Prepare and check despatch paperwork
  • Working with other store persons to run an effective store area
  • Assist Supervisors to monitor the waste bins usage. Order replacement waste bins as required
  • Ensure materials and tools in the store are properly packed/stored, good housekeeping practice and required access and egress are maintained.

About You

  • Construction White Card
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • High Risk Work Licence (LF essential, WP preferred)
  • MSIC, or the ability to obtain
  • Demonstrate sound literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical and regular / random Drug and Alcohol screens
