The Opportunity

 

Permanent position - Based in Henderson WA

 

Civmec are currently seeking an experienced HSE Advisor with ERT experience to coordinate and lead compliance tasks associated with the Emergency Response Team (ERT).

This role will join an established HSE team and support the safe delivery of  work activities within the Henderson operational facility while taking a lead in all Emergency Response activities including all  measures in compliance to Civmec’s Health, Safety & Environmental Management System and  industry best practice Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Implement, audit and conduct inspections of site specific HSE management systems
  • Assist operational teams in complying with the HSE Management system
  • Develop and implement new HSE initiatives
  • Compile and issue HSE based reports (incident reports, trends analysis) 
  • Communicate HSE requirements to project/corporate teams 
  • Support risk identification and management processes to ensure risk of work activities is reduced to a ALARP
  • Conduct incident investigations and issue findings to project team and management teams as required 

About You

 

 

  • Cert IV OH&S
  • PMAWHS311 Lead Emergency Teams (or similar)
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
  • White Card
  • RIIWHS202D Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
  • PUASAR025 Undertake Confined Space Rescue
  • PUAFER005 Operate as Part of an Emergency Control Organisation
  • TLIF2018 Operate Firefighting Equipment
  • Experience in leading or being part of an ERT in the construction, manufacturing, resources or shipbuilding industry
  • Well developed software skills including Microsoft office suite of programs
  • Previous experience within HSE databases
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of key stakeholders
  • Incident investigation experience (eg ICAM, Taproot)
  • Internal auditing
