Civmec has launched a specific program for women who want to explore a hands on career. Civmec’s 12 month Women in Paint and Blast offers a supported career pathway designed to help you gain confidence, skills, exposure and industry ready competencies and licences.
The program has been designed to give you practical workshop based experience in painting & blasting. You will receive structured training, upskilling, and exposure to real operational work. Throughout this program you will be mentored by experienced leaders within the paint & blast industry and have the opportunity to build confidence and have a clear pathway to ongoing employment.
The Role
Across 12 months, you’ll:
- Learn practical painting and blasting skills in a workshop environment
- Be equipped with practical skills and real-world experience, setting you up for long-term success Participate in comprehensive training covering essential areas such as Working at Heights, Forklift operation, Elevated Work Platform, Confined Space Entry, First Aid and Fire Attack.
- Complete accredited training modules, resulting in recognised licences and competencies that will enhance your employability and provide you with valuable industry credentials.

Application Process
Applications open 6 March 2026 and close 3 April 2026.
Shortlisting: 6–10 April 2026.
Site visits and facility tours: 13–17 April for shortlisted applicants.
Employment will commence late April 2026
