Located in our Assembly Hall, Henderson, WA, this is a full-time appointment offering long-term career security for a systems-driven individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Ship Managers, Production Coordinators, and Planning to ensure coordinated production efforts across vessels.
- Support the STW team in integrating setting-to-work activities safely and efficiently into the production schedule
- Conduct basic technical research, interpretation of ship drawings, bills of materials, and work packages as required.
- Estimating material quantities, costs, and equipment needs for project planning.
- Assist the Quality and V&V teams in cladding release and area inspections.
- Facilitate communication between Ship Managers, Production Planners, and subcontractors
- Support the Production Planner in creating detailed schedules and action plans.
- Gathering and analysing technical data, performing complex calculations, and producing detailed diagrams.
To be successful in the role, you will possess the following:
- Certificate IV in Engineering, Technology, or related discipline Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
- Training in WHSE practices relevant to shipbuilding and production environments.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in shipbuilding, manufacturing, heavy industry, or similar large-scale engineering projects.
- Ability to prepare basic sketches and change documentation.
- Familiarity with shipbuilding data packages, production support (PS) systems, and engineering tools such as CAD/CAM and ERP systems.
- Understanding of shipbuilding defect management and rectification processes (e.g., IACS standards).
- Experience interacting with Quality Assurance (QA), Classification Societies, and customer representatives.
