The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking an experienced Coatings Supervisor to join our team, based at our Henderson Facility on our OPV Project. This role is full time and will predominately be working on an nightshift arrangement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work together in a team environment to provide good quality in all areas that will in hand lead to better flow in production
  • Oversee the completion of painting in the paint facility following the correct procedures and specifications as per the relevant projects
  • Safely implement, control and supervise designated project works
  • Look after the daily running of the grit room, and track all movements into and out of the grit room
  • Maintain effective communications with personnel within the paint facility
  • Maintain and ensure all work is of a high standard and compliant with quality control frameworks
  • Liaise with other departments as required, including Quality and OHS
  • Ensure reports are provided in an accurate and timely manner where required
  • Manage planning and scheduling of project works as directed by managers
  • Assist in quality assurance of all items though the paint facility, including the marking up of painted frames as per NACE standards and qualifications
  • Assist in cross training of painters/Blasters on the workshop floor to assist in growth
  • Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes
  • Present neat documentation, correspondence and records as requested
  • Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports as required
  • Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed
  • Understand Civmec’s HSE Management System and documentation applicable to the scope of the work.
  • Formulate safe methods of work in consultation with the HSE Advisor and workforce personnel.

About You


  • NACE level 2 as a minimum
  • White Card/Blue Card
  • Minimum seven years' experience in the supervision of paint teams
  • Proficient knowledge in MS Office suite
  • Developed interpersonal skills
