We are seeking experienced Project Managers to lead significant multi discipline construction projects across Western Australia. With multiple current and upcoming projects, we are recruiting for both Perth based and FIFO opportunities.
As a Project Manager, you will take full ownership of project execution from planning through to completion, ensuring delivery that is safe, on schedule, within budget, and aligned with client expectations and Civmec’s standards.
This is a key leadership role where your technical expertise, commercial acumen, and ability to motivate high performance project teams will be vital to success.
The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Project Planning & Execution
- Define project objectives, deliverables, and scope.
- Develop and maintain detailed schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Ensure safety and quality management systems are implemented and adhered to.
- Monitor schedule performance and implement corrective actions where required.
Commercial & Contract Management
- Identify and process contract variations, including cost and schedule impacts.
- Administer head contract obligations and ensure compliance with requirements.
- Execute subcontracts and manage subcontractor mobilisation and performance.
- Review subcontractor progress claims, variations, and commercial submissions.
Leadership & Resource Management
- Lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
- Provide clear direction and foster a culture of safety, quality, and performance.
- Oversee the utilisation of materials, equipment, and personnel.
Financial & Risk Management
- Monitor and report project financial performance against approved budgets.
- Update cost forecasting and contribute to monthly cost value reconciliations (CVRs).
- Identify, analyse, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assess hazards and ensure controls are in place to prevent incidents.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
- Build strong client relationships and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
- Communicate regularly with senior management on project performance and risks.
- Issue weekly status reports, work schedules, and budget updates.
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, and cost control systems.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar Project Management role (preferred).
- Minimum 10 years industry experience within the construction, engineering, or resources sectors.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite and common project management tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated success delivering multi discipline construction projects safely, on time, and within budget.
